On Sunday, Esme's Buttons had the day off from buttoning, and went to Fibre East at Ampthill with St Edmund's Crafty Knitters. Here we all are on the coach about to leave for the Fair.
There was a plethora of hand spun, hand dyed yarn, and everything you could possibly think of with anything to do with fibre was also there. The wonderful Jenny Barnett NeedleFelter was the highlight (for me anyway).
Watercolours and Lace (my friend Julie) was there for the first time with her stall of hand dyed yarn - such a beautiful display of colours. She was also selling her delicate lace weight shawls.
We were all intrigued by the peg loom. Here's Donna having a go. She enjoyed it so much that she bought a loom a bit later on.
It was a lovely day out, and the sun shone all day. I came away with some Knit-Pro DPNs to use for our shawl pins :) What a nice way to spend a Sunday x
